From the shipyard’s founding in 1990 by brothers Piotr and Wojciech Kot, Delphia Yachts has grown to become Poland’s largest manufacturer of sailing yachts.
The growing market for sailing and motor yachts has brought Delphia into the forefront of international yachting, with western European markets accounting for 98% of Delphia’s exports.
Even shipyards beyond Europe, such as company EMEA Brunswick Marine, have long relied on Delphia expertise to manufacture their Quicksilver and Uttern class motor boats, as many as 1000 each year. Similar demand has increased each year in the USA, Russia, Japan and Australia.
For many years, Delphia has been a member of the Polish Chamber of Yacht Trade and Water Sports, with Delphia’s own Wojciech Kot serving as President.
In 1990, the company produced its first sailing boat, the Sportina, which placed Delphia on the map as an independent yacht designer. Since then, a range of eight models has been produced under the Delphia brand.
The Delphia 24 One is a Regatta Yacht. Built for speed as well as beauty, it can be used for match racing. A special hull structure, along with a heavy daggerboard, gives the Delphia 24 the ability to glide-sail in strong winds with total stability. The success of this yacht led to the creation of the Delphia 24 Regatta Society in 2006.
The Delphia 26 is quick and responsive to the helm, yet it remains stable even in heavy conditions, ensuring a high level of passenger comfort and security. The yacht is equipped with a mast lowering system, making it a great choice for navigating inland waters. The Delphia 26 allows comfortable accommodation for 4 people. The swing-keel version is mainly designed for inland waters, while the ballast version also allows blue-water sailing.
The Delphia 28 builds on the advantages of the Delphia 26 and is one of the fastest yachts available in the 28-foot category. Its superior design ensures stability, maneuverability and maximum passenger comfort in all weather conditions. The well-appointed interior provides a kitchen, a bathroom with shower and two cabins with six berths. The yacht has the option of a swing keel for inland sailing, or a cast-iron keel recommended for blue water sailing.
The Delphia 29.2 introduces the family cruiser range of Delphia. The yacht is very safe and well mannered, ideal for families seeking adventure on coastal and inland waterways. The Delphia 29.2 offers comfortable sleeping accommodation for up to six adults, a smartly designed galley and large heads compartments. Standard features below deck include a fridge, hot-water shower and shore power hookup. Above deck, a teak-inlaid cockpit and roller furling jib are all standard. The yacht may be ordered with a swing keel and/or a mast lowering kit.
The Delphia 33.3 is a spacious family cruiser offering high comfort for longer stays aboard. The new interior design includes comfortable sofas and a forward-facing navigation table. The wider space is seen in the bathroom, the double cabins fore and aft, a large saloon table with comfortable seating for the whole crew, and a well-equipped galley. The generous cockpit complements a teak deck with contoured seats offering easy access to the water. The Delphia 33.3 is offered with both fixed keel and swing keel for shallow water cruising, as well as a furling mainsail. The twin braced rudders provide stability.
The Delphia 37.3 is a safe, comfortable family cruiser built to RCD Category A standards. The yacht is available in an owner version featuring two double cabins, and a 3-cabin version ideal for charter. The interior has a light and spacious feel of luxury, with a large saloon table. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, with a folding worktop of teak wood. With all lines leading aft, the Delphia 37.3 can be sailed safely from the teak-inlaid cockpit, with convenient stern access to the sunbathing platform. The Delphia 37.3 is designed with both fixed keel and swing keel versions, as well as the furling mast system option.
The Delphia 40.3 is an oceangoing yacht built to RCD Category A standards, meeting the highest expectations of performance and safety. The yacht is available in two, three and four-cabin versions. The spacious, bright saloon and fully equipped galley follow the Delphia design, as does the spacious cockpit with convenient aft access to the sunbathing platform. The Delphia 40.3 is available with either a fixed keel or a swing keel, with the fixed keel version built for either deep or shallow draught. The yacht is also available with either dual or single steering positions. Easier sailing is enabled with the optional furling mast system.
The company flagship is the award-winning Delphia 47, with an RCD Category A rating that guarantees performance and safety in blue-water sailing. The Delphia 47 is available in the 3-cabin owner version (with each cabin featuring its own heads compartment with a shower), or the charter version (featuring 5 twin-bed cabins and 4 heads compartments). The Delphia 47 has an elegant and modern interior, designed with all the advantages of the Delphia line. The cockpit is impressive and well planned, providing comfort when sailing or in harbor. The large deck area and sunbathing platform provide ample access to sun and sea. The standard Delphia 47 has dual steering positions, but with the self-tacking jib and furling mainsail, it can be easily sailed by one person.
The Delphia 47 was named “Croatian Boat of the Year” in 200” and was nominated for the “European Yacht of the Year” for 2009/10.
